MacroSee ("we", "our", "us") is a nutrition tracking application that analyses food photos to estimate macronutrient content. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
This policy applies to the MacroSee mobile application (Android) and the MacroSee web application at macrosee.app.

Important: MacroSee sends data to third-party AI services to provide its core functionality. By using MacroSee, you consent to this processing.
We use the following AI services to analyse food photos and generate nutrition recommendations:

These providers process your data under their respective privacy policies:
Anthropic and Google do not use data submitted via their APIs to train their models. Your food photos are processed and not retained by these providers beyond the duration needed to return a response.
We use Google Sign-In to authenticate users. When you sign in, Google provides us with your name, email address, and profile photo URL. We do not receive or store your Google password. Google's privacy policy applies to the sign-in process: Google Privacy Policy.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share data with the third-party services listed in sections 5 and 6, and only as necessary to provide the app's core functionality.
We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
MacroSee is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected].
MacroSee requests access to your device camera and photo library solely for the purpose of capturing or selecting food photos for nutritional analysis. Photos are only accessed when you explicitly choose to take or select a photo. We do not access your camera or photo library in the background.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
